1. What 1688CMP is
1688CMP is a free, open-source Chrome extension (AGPL-3.0) that displays a side-by-side price comparison of seven sourcing agents on 1688.com product pages. It does not place orders, hold money, or act as a middleman between you and any sourcing agent. Every order you place is placed on the agent's own website under their own terms. The extension never holds funds, never sees your login credentials on the agent sites, and never registers an account on your behalf. It is a price-comparison surface and a set of affiliate links — nothing more.
2. Eligibility
You may use 1688CMP if you are at least 13 years old (or older if your local jurisdiction requires). If you are using 1688CMP on behalf of an organization (for example, as a buyer at a small business), you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms. Using 1688CMP to place orders through the seven listed agents may be subject to the destination agent's own eligibility checks — we have no control over those.
3. License
1688CMP is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0). This means you may view, modify, and redistribute the source code under the terms of that license. The license covers the extension and this website; it does not extend to any third-party sourcing agent site you visit through our links. AGPL's network clause means that if you run a modified copy of the extension on a server (for example, to compare prices for customers), you must release your modifications under the same license.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) use 1688CMP to scrape, mass-download, or otherwise burden the websites of the seven sourcing agents or 1688.com; (b) reverse-engineer or attempt to clone any agent's proprietary pricing or ranking algorithm beyond what is already provided in this extension's source code; (c) sell, license, or sublicense the extension as a paid product; (d) use the extension in any way that violates the law of your jurisdiction, including import-export and customs regulations. We may disable your affiliate identifier if we detect automation that violates an agent's terms.
5. Service availability
1688CMP is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy of pricing data, or continued compatibility with future versions of Chrome or 1688.com. We may suspend, modify, or discontinue the extension at any time without notice. If Chrome Manifest V3 changes, or if 1688 changes their page structure in a way that breaks the extension, we may need days or weeks to catch up; during that window the floating bar may fail silently rather than display incorrect prices.
6. Third-party services
When you click an agent in the floating bar you leave 1688CMP and visit that agent's website under their own terms of service and privacy policy. We do not control, endorse, or guarantee the conduct of any sourcing agent — not BuckyDrop, not CSSBuy, not Superbuy, not Supplyia, not Oopbuy, not Loongbuy, not Lovegobuy. Any purchase, refund, or dispute is between you and the agent alone. We may add or remove agents from the floating bar at any time as their availability, terms, or affiliate program changes.
7. Affiliate disclosure
1688CMP earns a commission when you click a sourcing agent link and complete an order on their site. This does not change the price you pay. Commission rates vary by agent (3–8% of service fees) and are disclosed in the extension source code so you can verify independently. We do not sort results by commission rate — we sort by the agent's offer (fee, storage, consolidation, payment processing), and the affiliate payout is incidental to that ranking. If you are a comparison shopper and never click out to an agent, we earn nothing.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the authors of 1688CMP are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or the price of a wrong order placed on a destination agent — arising from your use of the extension. If you have a dispute with a sourcing agent, please contact that agent directly. Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability is capped at the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months, which — since the extension is free — is zero.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by bumping the version number on the Chrome Web Store listing and updating the lastUpdated date on this page. Continued use of the extension after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms. If you disagree with a future change, you may uninstall the extension; uninstalling immediately revokes your agreement to these terms.
